Arion Bank opens a Corporate Business Hub at Borgartún 18
Arion Bank branches will reopen on 12 May with certain restrictions
All general corporate services at Arion Bank in the Reykjavík area will be brought together in a single location with the aim of enhancing services to our corporate customers. Our team of highly experienced specialists in corporate business services from our branches throughout the Reykjavík area will now join forces to create a dedicated Corporate Business Hub at Borgartún 18 which will provide services to small and medium-sized enterprises. The Corporate Business Hub opens on 15 May and companies will keep their same contact persons at the Bank, and all business information, such as account details and branch numbers, will remain unchanged. Companies can still obtain more basic services, such as cashier services, by visiting any of our branches across the country.
General banking services to retail customers will therefore be discontinued at Borgartún 18, although our financial advisors will continue meet customers who have booked appointments. Customers in the Reykjavík area, both retail and corporate, who require cashier services can still obtain these services at our branches at Bíldshöfði in Reykjavík and Smáratorg in Kópavogur. The self-service facilities at Borgartún 18 and elsewhere are open 24/7 and enable customers to perform a range of actions such as withdraw and deposit cash, pay bills, transfer money and withdraw foreign currency. Nearly all these banking services are also available via the Arion app and Arion Online Banking. The Bank’s Call Centre is also open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
With the exception of Borgartún 18 and the branch in Hveragerði, which is to merge with the Selfoss branch, our branches will open to customers again from 12 May, although subject to certain restrictions. Restrictions on the number of people in any one place and the 2 metre rule will remain in force and customers should limit their visits to branches as much as is possible. For financial advice and to discuss more complex business matters we encourage our customers to get in touch with us and book an appointment. More information on the opening hours of Arion Bank can be seen here.
Ida Brá Benediktsdóttir, managing director of Retail Banking at Arion Bank:
"The goal of creating the Corporate Business Hub is to enhance our services to companies in the Reykjavík area and to make our specialist services and expert advice more easily available to our customers. By bringing our corporate business services together in a single location we are making these services even more effective. We hope our customers will appreciate these changes, which are also part of the continuing trend at the Bank to adapt our services to the new and evolving needs of our customers with a greater emphasis on digital solutions and personal financial advice.“
