Temporary closure of branches - mynd

The welfare of our customers and employees is of the greatest importance to us. Due to Covid-19 we will be closing our branches to visitors from tomorrow, 26 March, unless people already have appointments and only then if it is a matter of urgency. We encourage our customers to use other service channels such as the Arion app and online banking, where they can do nearly all of their banking.

We are still here for you and you can contact us by phone on 444 7000, e-mail at arionbanki@arionbanki.is or by webchat at www.arionbanki.is. Our ATMs are still open across Iceland, and you can use them to make withdrawals, deposits and to perform a range of other transactions.

If the matter is urgent you can book an appointment

If you have some urgent business which you wish to attend to, you can book an appointment to visit a branch. We can only provide service at the branches if the matter can only be resolved in person. In this case you need to book an appointment. Call us, send us an e-mail or register below and we will get back to you about booking an appointment.

Payment holiday for mortgages

We will do our best to help people who think they may find it difficult to make repayments on their mortgage as a result of Covid-19. For more information and to apply for a payment holiday see here.

Temporary financial difficulties

Here are a few options which might help ease the situation.

Get in touch by e-mail at greidslulausnir@arionbanki.is or call us on 444 7000 so we can go over your finances and find the best option for you. We will try to respond as quickly as we can.

Companies experiencing financial difficulties

We will do our best to help our corporate customers who are facing difficulties due to Covid-19. The aim is to temporarily provide companies with leeway to meet their obligations and to keep their businesses running in the current situation.

Under a new agreement between banks and pension funds, companies can now apply to defer loan payments for up to 6 months. Further measures for companies have already been launched or are being prepared.
