Let’s talk about pension funds

The recent meeting Let’s talk about pension funds hosted by Arion Bank and Vera Center at Kringlan created lively debate and discussion. The meeting was aimed at foreigners working in Iceland who want to know more about their pension rights and obligations.

At the meeting Sveinn Héðinsson, a pensions specialist at the Bank, gave a general talk about the rights and obligations of employees and employers and explained how different pension schemes work.

The meeting was the second event jointly held by Arion Bank and Vera Center. Earlier in the year a meeting entitled Know your basic savings and financing options was held where the focus was on general financial topics.

Vera Center is an organization which specializes in providing services for people living in Iceland who want practical information about Icelandic society. All events held by the organization are in English.
