The Banker names Arion Bank Icelandic Bank of the Year for 2022
The Banker magazine, a leading global finance news publication published by the Financial Times, has named Arion Bank the Bank of the Year in Iceland for 2022.
The Banker cites the Bank’s growth and its commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles. It also points to new services such as Arion Premía, which build on the Bank’s strengths in asset management and traditional financial services to improve offerings to high net worth individuals.
The Banker also highlighted the fact that Arion Bank had been involved in six out of eight stock markets listings by Icelandic companies in 2022. Finally, it notes the Bank’s entry into the euro covered bond market, when Arion Bank became the first Icelandic financial institution to issue covered bonds in euros on the international market.
