Shares in Arion Bank begin trading

Shares in Arion Bank began trading on Nasdaq Iceland at 9:30 a.m. this morning. At the same time SDR (Swedish Depository Receipts) began trading on Nasdaq Stockholm.

Höskuldur H. Ólafsson, CEO of Arion Bank, rang the opening bell at Nasdaq Iceland in a ceremony at the Bank's headquarters in Borgartún in Reykjavík. Páll Harðarson, CEO of Nasdaq Iceland, welcomed the company on to the exchange's main market.

In Sweden Eva Cederbalk, chairman of the board of directors of Arion Bank, and Stefán Pétursson, CFO of Arion Bank, rang the opening bell at Nasdaq Stockholm.

Arion Bank's IPO commenced on 31 May and ended on 14 June. The results of the IPO were announced this morning and can be viewed on the IPO site, www.arionbanki.is/IPO
